School town history, traditions and a currently still diverse system of educational institutions provide future generations with high-standard training opportunities that meet economic requirements.
The town boasts 2 secondary grammar schools, 1 vocational secondary grammar school and 1 vocational school for students with special needs. The current vocational trainings offered by the secondary schools largely fit the economic structure of the area. This local range is complemented by trainings offered further vocational institutions in the county.


Tertiary education is offered by the Kőszeg Campus of the University of Pannonia, research community is represented by iASK (Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg), which also has practice-oriented trainings on offer in the field of modern business management in addition to university-level education.

Our educational institutions are open, innovative and react to needs of the labour market fast. In close cooperation with enterprises, these institutions train young graduates capable of doing work with high added value in any environment ranging from local small, medium-sized or large enterprises to international settings; they understand work processes and have the necessary skills, working culture and the mindset of a service provider.
