Economy and Employment Development Coordination

The Municipality of Kőszeg was an initiator of founding the Employment Pact of the area. We established cooperation between municipalities, educational institutions, enterprises, civil organisations, stakeholder groups and governmental agencies. During the operation of the Pact, we supported training and placement of over 500 employees from Kőszeg and its vicinity at employers from the town and its environs. The Pact pays special attention to cooperation between enterprises in the area, ongoing conversation, reinforcing connections between educational institutions and businesses, professional orientation and establishment of dual training cooperation.

Business-Friendly Municipality

Development of the economy of Kőszeg is a primary task of the town. The task of assisting, informing and fostering networking of local and arriving entrepreneurs is given priority by the Mayor’s Office. Assistance from the Municipality of Kőszeg ranges from quick and helpful administration to finding new business partners. Írottkő Natúrparkért Egyesület (Association for Írottkő Nature Park), the Tourist Destination Management (TDM) organisation of the town and the area, supports business networking of tourist enterprises with its all-inclusive local knowledge.
